For the academic year 2019-19, tuition for full-time registration for 9 or more credit hours is $20,900 per semester. Annual stipends. For 2020-20, the minimum stipend is $31,000; many programs provide higher stipend amounts, some as high as $35,000, and special admissions fellowships (scroll down!) can raise the stipend even more. Full tuition scholarships. Our standard tuition scholarships of approximately $62,700 fully cover tuition, leaving only student fees to be paid by students. 100% subsidy of Emory’s student health insurance premium. In 2019-19, that amounts to $3,466 for the year.

Admissions decisions are based upon careful review of all components of the application: previous academic record, letters of recommendation, GRE scores, relevant personal experience, a writing sample, and the personal statement. The average combined verbal and quantitative GRE score for students entering the program is around 320. Minimum qualifications for admission include GRE scores at or above the fiftieth percentile on all three portions of the exam and an undergraduate grade average of B or higher.
