The University of Michigan operates under a fully funded model for all Ph.D. students. Students receive a guarantee of full funding at the point of admission and throughout the duration of their five year program. This funding commitment is guaranteed provided the student meets all necessary milestones and fulfills program requirements as stipulated by their individual faculty advisor and/or department. This comprehensive package includes tuition, fees, University health insurance and a monthly living stipend.
