JD students must complete 85 credits in order to graduate. The first-year law curriculum consists of 29 required credits, and upper-level students typically take 14 credits per semester. The LLM degree requires 24 credits to graduate, or 33 with the New York Bar Concentration. The Master of Legal Studies requires 30 credits to graduate.
